Why Jesus must be exalted

Today’s Bible Study is entitled “Why Jesus must be exalted.”

Jesus died for a reason people of God. Jesus’ death, burial, and bodily resurrection from the dead requires a response from us who are the redeemed of the Lord. This is what we will be discussing in today’s bible study. Jesus died for us people of God not only to redeem us and to break the power of sin in our lives, Jesus died for us, he redeemed us in so that we may serve him, in so that we may glorify him, in so that we may worship him and exalt his most holy name for what he has done for us at the cross. I say again we have been saved to serve Jesus. What God wants us to grasp is this “because of what happened at the cross of Christ it should have an impact in every area of our lives.” Today’s bible study discussion is entitled “Why Jesus must be exalted.” Here below are just a few reasons why Jesus must be exalted in our lives as believers (as children of the most high God).

• So then, Jesus must be exalted because he alone has bore all our iniquities there at the cross.

• So then, Jesus must be exalted because there at the cross he was our mediator pleading for us saying “Father forgive them for they know not what they do.”

• So then, Jesus must be exalted because there at the cross he forgave sins and forgives us also of our sins at that sacred destination. Any person who wants to be saved by God must come to the cross of Jesus Christ to find forgiveness of sin and everlasting life.

• Jesus showed love even to his enemies by praying for them. What does this mean for you and me as believers in Jesus Christ? The bible tells us to be imitators of God and of Christ Jesus (Ephesians 5:1-2) (1 Thessalonians 1:6), God tells us in his word that he is conforming us into the image of his Son Christ Jesus (Romans 8:29) (Philippians 3:10). God is conforming you child of God to Christlikeness. Therefore, follow Jesus’ example and go do likewise. Because Jesus showed love to his enemies there at the cross, we too are to show love to our enemies by praying for them. By no means am I saying this is easy, however on the authority of God’s word we must pray for them. Never forget people of God that before you came to Christ the bible says you too were an enemy of God because of your sins. Because of your sins the wrath of God was upon you, and knowingly or unknowingly you worshipped and served the father of all lies (the devil) by following the ways of this evil world with all its lustful desires and practices (Romans 5:9-11) (Colossians 1:20-22) (John 3:36) (Ephesians 2:1-22). It's only (It's only) by the grace of God that you are saved. Now that you have received Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord into your hearts and lives you are no longer and enemy of God but are now friends of God and are children of God forever (John 1:12-13) (1 John 3:1-3) (1 John 5:1) (Galatians 3:26). Remember pray for those who persecute and hate you. The bible says that by doing this not only will you be rewarded by God, but you will be acting like the true children of God (Matthew 5:43-47).

1 John 4:11

Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

• So then, Jesus must be exalted because He was rejected, despised, and deserted for our sake there at the cross.

• So then, Jesus must be exalted because there at the cross ultimately all the power of the enemy was disarmed, disabled and destroyed by Jesus.

* Most importantly, Jesus must be exalted because He is God in the flesh who is sinless and perfect. He is deity. This means He is the creator and maker of heaven and earth. So, because He is God we must exalt and glorify his most holy and righteous name Read (John 1:1-3, 14) (John 20:28) (Hebrews 1:6, 8) (Colossians 1:15-19) (Matthew 2:2, 11) (Matthew 14:33) (Matthew 28:9) (John 9:35-38) (Philippians 2:6-11) (1 John 3:5) (1 Peter 1:19) (1 Peter 2:22) (1 Peter 3:18).

• So then, Jesus must be exalted because God’s perfect love for us humans was displayed unto the whole world through his Son Jesus there at the cross.

• So then, Jesus must be exalted because there at the cross he showed his grace and mercy to us sinners.

• So then, Jesus must be exalted because there at the cross of Christ, He gave eternal life, and is right now continuing to give eternal life to all those who will believe in him.

• So then, Jesus must be exalted because He is God’s Son Read (John 3:16-18) (1 John 2:22-23) (1 John 3:23-24) (1 John 4:1-6, 14-15) (1 John 5:1-13, 20) (Matthew 3:16-17) (Matthew 14:33) (Matthew 17:5) (Matthew 26:62-64) (Luke 1:26-38) (John 8:23-25).

• So then, Jesus must be exalted because He is the Christ, the Messiah, the chosen and Holy anointed one of God (John 1:41) (John 4:24-26) (John 20:31).

• So then, Jesus must be exalted because He came from heaven and is greater than anyone else (John 3:31).

• So then, Jesus must be exalted because He is the one and only Savior of the world. Read (John 3:16-18) (John 4:42) (1 John 4:14) (2 Peter 1:1) (2 Peter 2:20) (2 Timothy 3:15) (1 Thessalonians 5:9) (Matthew 1:21) (Luke 1:31) (Titus 3:4-7) (Jude 1:24-25).

• So, then Jesus must be exalted because He is the only one who died on the cross for your sins. He is the only one who took the full punishment from God for your wickedness and my wickedness. That truth alone should give you a passion to live and serve reverently for Jesus the rest of your life. He died on a cross not for his own sins and crimes, No, for he was sinless and perfect. He died on a cross for your sinful deeds to save you. Truly think about that. Read (Colossians 1:19-22) (Romans 3:21-26) (Romans 5:8-10) (Ephesians 1:7) (Ephesians 2:11-18) (Acts 20:28) (Hebrews 9:11-28) (Hebrews 10:11-19) (Hebrews 13:11-15) (1 Peter 1:18-20) (Revelation 1:5-6) (Revelation 5:9-14).

• So then, Jesus must be exalted because He is the only one who resurrected bodily from the dead to eternal life never to die again. He is the only who conquered sin, death, hell, and the grave. Read (Romans 6:9) (Matthew 17:9) (Matthew 27:32-66) (Matthew 28:1-20) (Mark 16:1-20) (Luke 24:1-8, 45-48) (John 2:19-22) (John 20:1-31) (John 21:14) (1 Corinthians 6:14) (1 Corinthians 15) (2 Corinthians 4:14) (Romans 1:4) (Romans 4:24) (Romans 6:4, 9) (Romans 7:4) (Romans 8:11) (Romans 10:9) (Acts 1:1-11, 22) (Acts 2:22-24, 29-36) (Acts 3:15) (Acts 4:10, 33) (Acts 5:30) (Acts 10:40) (Acts 13:30, 34, 37) (Ephesians 1:20) (Colossians 2:12) (Galatians 1:1) (1 Peter 1:21) (2 Timothy 2:8) (1 Thessalonians 1:10) (1 Thessalonians 4:14) (Hebrews 13:20)

• So then, Jesus must be exalted because He is worshiped by all created beings in heaven. All God’s angels and the saints of God worship, glorify, exalt and magnify the name of Jesus Christ. Not the name of Mary, not the name of Moses, not the name of Paul, not the name of Joseph Smith, not the name of Mohammed, not the name of Allah, or Buddha or Confucius. But all of heaven is worshiping and exalting the name of Jesus (who is the sinless spotless Lamb of God). Read (Revelation 5:1-14) (John 1:29-36).

So, in conclusion, people of God Jesus must be, and He will be exalted in our lives. He must increase and we must decrease (John 3:30). You have been saved to glorify and to exalt the name of Jesus in your life. The life you now live you live by faith in the Son of God (Galatians 2:19-20). Ultimately people of God Jesus must be exalted because of ( A ) who He is (that is God) and (B) for what He has done for us guilty sinners there at the cross. Praise the Lord Jesus today for your great and glorious salvation! This concludes our study on “Why Jesus must be exalted.” May the Lord Jesus bless you all. Have a great and glorious day in the Lord.
